CAST boot conversion allows you to keep rocking the alpine boots you know and love, while adding tech compatibility for super efficient touring. We even throw on custom rubber tread lifters for better grip and protection. This means you won't have to replace your boots just cause the soles start wearing thin. ISO 5355 norm for alpine bindings is maintained so they will test and function properly in your alpine bindings.
Boot Conversions have a 3 day turn around time at our shop plus shipping. Make sure you get them in before the snow starts flying so you won't be stuck without them.
The boot conversion consists of a set of stainless steel tech inserts that are bolted and epoxied to the boot soles. The inserts are then covered by replaceable lifters. Our boot conversion process is designed around standard race boot canting, techniques. As such works best on solid soled alpine boots, however CAST laboratories has developed procedures that allow for the conversion of boots that already have replaceable soles as well.
If you already have tech compatible touring boots great, just pair them with the right SI&I system and you're ready to roll. Marker Lord, Salomon STH2 WTR and Tyrolia Attack binding platforms all have adjustable toe heights that will accommodate the rockered soles on these boots.
