MOST ELASTIC TRAVEL AVAILABLE
The Pivot Freetour boasts the most lateral travel before release and the fastest re-centering of any binding, delivering superior shock absorbtion and reducing unwanted pre-release. The pivoting heel piece, 28mm vertical heel travel, 45mm lateral toe travel and wide Teflon toe glider all provide unmatched safety and ski feel. Compare that to less than 12mm of vertical heel travel and essentially no toe travel in new hybrid pintech bindings like the Marker Kingpin and Dynafit Beast. The Pivot also features multidirectional release making it the safest and most reliable binding on the market.
UNMATCHED POWER TRANSMISSION
The Pivot Freetour is as burly (or forgiving) as bindings come. The all-metal reinforced Pivot toepiece combined with the classic "turntable" heel delivers maximum power transmission and consistent release. Seven points-of-contact with the boot results in increased lateral energy transmission, drives more power to the edge of the ski and provides superior control, response, and snow feel. A short mounting zone reduces swing weight, improves response, and deepens your ski's flex.
LOW OVERALL WEIGHT
The use of our super light tech toe reduces touring weight to a minimum. The touring weight is comparable with the likes of the Marker Kingpin and other heavier pin bindings available. Lightweight means more energy for long walks and more skiing!
PINTECH TOURING EFFICIENCY
Using a pintech toe piece allows for the most efficient skinning stride and has zero lifted weight on the heel. The tech toe makes kickturns, gliding and sidehilling easier, which will constantly help reduce effort during the approach.
LOW STAND HEIGHT
The Pivot Freetour features a low stand height of 20mm above the ski. The low stand height, short mounting zone, and elastic travel give the Pivot the best ski feel available.
Lightweight wire climbing bails can be activated easily with a ski pole between flat, 8 degree, and 12.5 degree climbing modes.
SKI CRAMPON CLIP
An integrated clip on the tech toe lets you easily slide on ski crampons.
AUTOLOCK SKI BRAKES
Flip a switch, step down and your brakes are held up for touring mode. Flip the switch back and the brakes release for ski mode.
This simple and robust locking mechanism allows for fast transitioning between alpine and touring mode. Both the tech toe and alpine toe slide on and autolock into position.
QUICK SWAP ANTI FRICTION DEVICES (AFD)
We offer both an alpine ISO 5355 standard AFD and a WTR AFD that are easily interchanged without tools using a quick clip mechanism.
