CAST Touring Partners with Ski Utah Interconnect
Salt Lake City, UT- CAST is happy to announce a new partnership with Ski Utah, outfitting their Interconnect guides with Freetour 2.0 kits for the 2025/2026 season.
CAST Touring is proud to announce a new partnership with Ski Utah, outfitting Ski Utah’s Interconnect Tour guides with CAST Freetour 2.0 binding kits for the 2025/2026 winter season.
This partnership brings together two organizations deeply rooted in Utah’s mountain culture and committed to safe, high-performance access to some of the most iconic ski terrain in North America. The Ski Utah Interconnect Tour program allows skiers to experience lift-accessed touring between Deer Valley, Park City, Alta, Snowbird, Solitude, and Brighton- terrain that demands both uphill efficiency and uncompromising downhill performance, all in one day.
For the upcoming season, Ski Utah’s Interconnect guides will rely on the CAST Freetour 2.0 system to move confidently and efficiently through variable terrain and snow conditions. The system’s modular design allows guides to tour using tech toes, then transition into a full alpine Pivot binding for the descent - delivering the safety, reliability, and downhill control required in professional guiding environments.
“Guides need equipment they can trust without hesitation in a wide variety of terrain and conditions,” says JP Gendron, a guide for Ski Utah. “The Freetour 2.0 system is perfect for us where efficiency matters on the climb, but confidence, safety, and release performance matter most on the way down. We’re honored to be partnering with CAST to enhance our safety both in the resorts and in the backcountry."
Ski Utah’s Interconnect Tour program represents a unique blend of resort skiing and backcountry-style travel, making CAST a natural fit. Both organizations share a passion for adventure, alpine touring, and helping more skiers safely explore the mountains.
This partnership further reinforces CAST Touring’s position as the binding system trusted by guides, patrollers, and big-mountain professionals worldwide — and underscores the brand’s ongoing investment in safety-forward innovation for alpine touring.
