General Questions

No. The toe interchange system is a different platform. The hole pattern and heel assembly are unchanged.

If you would like to mount the system yourself, please follow this link to ourFreetour Mounting Tutorial. The Freetour uses the same hole pattern as the Look Pivot bindings and is a straightforward process if you are experienced mounting skis. There are two added holes shown on our Heel Hole Template provided with every Freetour.

Warning: All bindings must be properly adjusted to the users boot sole length, height, weight, and release preference. The ski/boot/binding system must then be tested with the user's boots in accordance with industry standards before use, to ensure proper function.

Warning: If you are not a properly trained ski technician with the proper tools and a jig, you must have your bindings mounted by an authorized Look® or Cast® dealer.

There are 4 options of brake width to choose from...95mm, 105mm, 115mm, or 130mm. We recommend choosing the brake width that is closest to the width of the middle of your ski. I would go either 5mm smaller or bigger than your ski width. For example a ski that is 100mm or 110mm wide I would choose the 105mm brake option. A ski that is 110mm or 120mm I would choose the 115mm brake width.

The Freetour is sold with an Alpine/GripWalk compatible AFD installed and also comes with an interchangeable Touring ISO 9523 AFD to accommodate rockered touring boot soles.

The Freetour Upgrade Kit uses the same hole pattern as the Look Pivot binding.  If your skis are already mounted with a Look Pivot binding, this is not an issue.  Simply upgrade your Look Pivot 15 or 18 binding with the Freetour Upgrade Kit and then use the existing holes. Two additional holes will need to be drilled for the brake retainer.  The Heel Hole Template is provided with every purchase of a Freetour and can be downloaded here, Heel Hole Template.

The P12 and P14 will not work as your main Upgrade Kit. However, if you already have a pair of Freetour Pivot 15s or 18s you can use the 12 or 14 heels with our Second Ski Kit. You will then share your first Kits Alpine Toes and Tech Toes between your 1st and 2nd pair of skis.

Yes, they are the same as the Look Pivot 15 and 18. (Although you may think about getting fresh Pivots at this point.) The Rossignol® FKS™ 12 and 14 DO NOT work.

The Freetour Upgrade Kit is an aftermarket upgrade kit that adds touring capabilities to the Look Pivot 15 or 18 bindings. These bindings provide a release value range of either 6-15 or 8-18. It DOES NOT work with the Look Pivot 12 or 14.  Installing the kit requires swapping out the lower portion of the alpine toe pieces.

Learn how to do that here.

Yes. All you need is a #3 Posidrive screwdriver or large flathead screwdriver. Check out what that process is like here.

Our tech toe is not designed for skiing downhill and does not have a reliable release function. It can be used for small descents with skins on or off but your heel will always be free.
