Founders Lars and Silas Chickering-Ayers started this company while competing on the FWT themselves, driven by a need for a system that offered zero-compromise alpine performance for the world’s most demanding lines.

The 2026 Standouts

  • Toby Rafford: It was a career-defining year for Toby. After a dominant win in Haines, Alaska, and a massive podium in Verbier, he secured 2nd place in the Overall World Standings. When he’s not in the starting gate, Toby relies on the Freetour to access the technical spines and big lines that have made him a household name.

  • Weitien Ho: Weitien kicked off the season with a Bronze in Baqueira Beret. Known for his precision and power, Weitien uses the CAST system for his backcountry training, ensuring that his transitions to downhill mode are as solid as his competition runs.

  • Marcus Goguen: Following his 2025 World Title, Marcus continues to set the bar for progression. Whether he's gapping terrain features in the BC backcountry or scouting FWT faces, Marcus trusts the Freetour to provide the reliability of an alpine binding in the remote terrain where failure isn't an option.
